Christmas Eve supper...

breaking off the Christmas wafer and then...

...borscht served with ravioli-type dumplings called 'uszka' (lit. "little ears") with mushroom filling, mushroom soup with potatoes, carp, sauerkraut cooked with wild mushrooms, trout in jelly, poppy seed and milk based dessert (this is unreal!), traditional dried fruit drink, poppy seed pastry, apple pie, gingerbreads... :-)

Kolecja Wigilijna...

łamanie się opłatkiem a potem...

...barszcz z uszkami, zupa grzybowa z ziemniakami, karp, kapusta z grzybami, pstrąg w galarecie, makiełki (nieziemskie!), tradycyjny kompot z suszu, makowiec, jabłecznik, pierniczki... :-)
